Integrated Sustainability Services

The complete Integrated Sustainability Services website will be available from May 2008.

Message from Wayne Wescott, ICLEI Oceania Chief Executive Officer

Centre for Public Agency Sustainability Reporting and ICLEI Sustainability Services will be merging to form a new unit.

This unit will be ICLEI Oceania's Integrated Sustainability Services.

The new unit will draw on the strengths, resources and skills of the Centre for Public Agency Sustainability Reporting and ICLEI Sustainability Services to deliver increased capacity for integrated sustainability planning, monitoring and reporting to government.

Integrated Sustainability Services will offer programs suitable for local councils, as well as state and federal government agencies and departments.

Integrated Sustainability Services will offer three program streams:

  • Sustainability Pathway – an evaluation and review stream
  • Advancing Sustainability – a capacity-building stream
  • Sustainability for Leaders – a tailored stream.

The programs and streams are currently being developed and will be offered from early 2009.

The programs will use practical delivery models that incorporate on-site personalised workshops, activity-based learning as well as knowledge sharing, group learning and networking opportunities.

Our Mission

The Centre's mission is to improve the  performance of public agencies through the practice of sustainability reporting. The Centre is international in its scope and endeavours to provide a point of liaison for public agencies from all tiers of government on the GRI's Sustainability Reporting Framework.

Products such as best practice case studies, practical tools and "how to" manuals are developed for members. Members also receive services that include assessment and gap analysis of their current reporting practices, workshops, seminars and access to an on-line help service.

The Centre strives to increase the potential for co-operation on sustainability between the public and private sectors in the longer term by supporting GRI in the development of a common language for sustainability reporting.
